This Picture Book Life

Danielle Davis writes a fun and informative blog, This Picture Book Life.

I discovered it when I saw Danielle had rated Paris-Chien on Goodreads, calling it "Chic and so much fun."

Danielle's photo of Anna Vaivare's mini book Swimming Pool led me to Fine Fine Books, which lead me to the website of kuš!, the publisher in Latvia where I could order the book. It came in a week.

I'm now a big fan of Anna Vaivare's work!

Mastering the Art of French Eating

We didn't know that eating was an art. But Ann Mah has definitely mastered the art of writing about France and Food!

Now that we've finished the book, we're on to trying the recipes, and following her wonderful blog HERE!

Dog park in Paris!

"Les dernières brèves canines qui traversent notre belle cité :  Le projet d'ouverture du 1er espace de liberté pour chiens à Paris dans le square Jacques Antoine avance. La mairie du XIVe confirme son intérêt. Elle est déterminée à l'ouvrir avant la fin de l'année. Le processus est lancé !" (1er e-guide urbain des chiens parisiens par Spencer le Border).

The first off-leash dog park in Paris has been endorsed by the mairie of the 14th arrondissement.

Kitson Kids

We had no idea Kitson had such a large and impressive selection of books, including ours. There were so many children's and gift titles that we had never even seen before.

Such a nice staff, too.

Albert Kahn Museum and Gardens

One of my favorite places to visit in Paris. A new exhibit, In Search of Albert Kahn, opens June 18.

"From 1909 to 1931, he commissioned photographers and film cameramen to record life in over 50 countries. The images were held in the Archive of the Planet, a collection of 180,000 metres of b/w film and more than 72,000 autochrome plates, the first industrial process for true colour photography, of which the museum now has the largest collection in the world."
