Albert Kahn Museum and Gardens

One of my favorite places to visit in Paris. A new exhibit, In Search of Albert Kahn, opens June 18.

"From 1909 to 1931, he commissioned photographers and film cameramen to record life in over 50 countries. The images were held in the Archive of the Planet, a collection of 180,000 metres of b/w film and more than 72,000 autochrome plates, the first industrial process for true colour photography, of which the museum now has the largest collection in the world."

Me bark pretty one day

"Paris-Chien Is A Must! What's a dog to do when he and his human move to Paris and all the dogs there only speak French? Hudson tells his story in this super cute book. Think of it as "Me Talk Pretty One Day" from the point of view of a dog and written and illustrated specifically for children. I know kids will respond well to it because it's colorful, and it's about dogs! I love that there's a little French-English dictionary in the back. I will be putting this on my staff recommendations display at the library!" —AMY ADAMS, Librarian, Folley Beach Library, SC
